It all began in 1938, in a pre-Independence India, with the humble yet visionary establishment of Bharat Restaurant in Kanpur. What started as a modest venture soon became a name trusted by connoisseurs, communities, and the crème de la crème of society. Over the years, “Bharat” came to stand for not just food — but a feeling.
From institutional catering under Bee Aar Vyanjan Pvt. Ltd. to serving premier clients like IIT Kanpur, IPL teams, and large industrial setups, we’ve continually adapted to the times without losing sight of our roots.

Our in-house bakery produces high-quality, fresh, and innovative bakery products for events, restaurants, and retail orders. We maintain the highest standards of hygiene and craftsmanship in every item we create.
Since 2000, we’ve offered turnkey wedding and event management services. We handle everything—from theme décor, lighting, power setup, floral arrangements, catering, and even celebrity & artist bookings.
Chef Nitin Tandon
Chef Nitin Tandon is the creative force behind The Bharat Hospitality. A fourth-generation hospitality entrepreneur, he blends the legacy of Indian culinary traditions with a contemporary, global perspective.
Trained at Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Manipal, Nitin refined his craft at acclaimed establishments like The Oberoi Grand (Kolkata), The Leela Palace (Bengaluru), and under Michelin-starred Chef Paul Rankin in Belfast.
In 2004, he returned to Kanpur to grow the family business, launching Breads et al., followed by the gourmet delivery kitchen Urban Chutney. Through every venture, his philosophy remains clear: reimagine India’s culinary treasures with refined taste, global flair, and uncompromising quality.
